When it comes to Radiohead there seem to be two schools, people who love and people who loath them. For me I’ve never been part of either, I respect what the band have done, acknowledge they have released some great albums but rarely find myself playing their music or discussing it with people. Then ‘In Rainbows’ came along, the digital release hype originally sucked me, I talked about the concept but didn’t download it. When the disc was finally released though, I had to have a listen and you know what, Radiohead have managed to rise above the hype and release a great album, one that will stand the test of time. I won’t even try to describe it, everyone has heard Radiohead and knows to expect the unexpected to some extent. The album is undoubtedly Radiohead and in my opinion is the best addition to their discography yet. Buy the cd or vinyl version though, the packaging is great and no matter what you say, it is still a superior product to having a file on your hard drive.
