Johnny Casino (Asteroid B612) scoured the Australian musical landscape for his latest project. Casino is backed by a rotating band of musicians located in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The players may vary (Brad Shepherd-Hoodoo Gurus, Kent Steedman-Celibate Rifles, Bill Gibson-Eastern Dark all make appearances on this record) but the basic philosophy – to invoke and celebrate the intrinsic beauty of the rock’n’roll form – is as solid as Casino’s melodic rock’n’roll riffs. The new album is a further testament to Casino’s enduring love of the rock’n’roll tradition.
